Cooper Is One! Let's Have Some Fun!

When the time came to plan Cooper's First Birthday Party I just admit that I was clueless!  In a Pinterest world it is very easy to feel bad about yourself and lack of crafting abilities.  I mean seriously HOW DO PEOPLE HAVE TIME TO COME UP WITH THAT STUFF? I digress...anyways, my brilliant husband came up with the idea of a Dr. Suess themed party.  As a teacher I knew that I could take this idea and run with it.  With the help of (ahem) Pinterest and Etsy I found my inspiration.  Once the theme was decided I began printing, cutting, and pasting anything red, blue, or white that I could get my hands on.  It was a labor of love and creating a Suessical land for my little guy's big day was my absolute pleasure.  A special bonus was when my mom came in for the party and helped decorate the house for the big day. I wanted the day to be special and a true celebration of our past year as a family of three.  I can gladly say that it was just that.  Our house was full of friends and love.  Sweet Coop was a delight and enjoyed playing with his buddy Cam and chowing on a little cake.
Our 1 year old guy

Coop loves books so all his friends brought him some new books.

This turned out so cute and is a treasure that it was worth all those monthly photo sessions.

I am not so sure about this...

Getting the hang of this cake thing with the help my mom and dad
